This
Hubble image of a spiral-shaped galaxy is more than just a pretty
picture. A series of images like this allowed astronomers to
measure its distance 10 times more accurately than ever before.
Knowing the distance, which happens to be 60 million light-years
from Earth, contributes to astronomers' overall knowledge of
the universe's rate of expansion and its age.
